Ranfurly Care operates a residential and Activity Centre on the Ranfurly Rd. site, as well as a seperate Residential Service for more able people at Cornwall Park Lodge (see Residential).

The Activity Centre caters for People with Intellectual disabilities from the wider Auckland Area. The Activity Centre operates 8:30 - 3:30 and offers a wide variety of groups & activities within a structured time table.

Ranfurly Care believes in offering a caring environment which encourages residents & students to lead lives which are as fullfilling as possible. The aim is to build self esteem through education & life skills training; leading to the development of Independence & self worth

Ranfurly Management recognises that maintaining a team of skilled & well trained staff is essential in ensuring the quality of the programmes offered

Our professional management team, which is responsible for the day to day running of the Residential Home and Activity Centre, is supported by a President and an Executive Committee. This committee is responsible for monitoring the Society’s policies and in all ways looking after the affairs of the Society.

Most members of this committee are parents or family members who therefore take an active interest in the residents’ and students progress and welfare.

The Ministry of Health, AccessAbility and Work and Income New Zealand (WINZ) www.workandincome.co.nz contribute to the funding for the Activity Centre and its programmes. Committee members are responsible for additional fundraising to maintain and upgrade buildings and assets, including any equipment to improve residents’ or students’ facilities.
